Hey! Congrats! smiling face

i leave for Houston tomorrow, and take it on wednesday! I reserved a room at the nearby Days Inn..

At this point if you can say anything at all about the Houston center that would be great!! Proctors, food, facility...etc.

THANKS! smiling face

Well, tell you about the hotel... I WILL NEVER AGAIN GO THERE. If you can afford a little bit better, go for it. I'm still itchy from the bites of the ticks in the mattresses... and the whole scene really didn't make it better. The only great thing is the people at the front desk... they are super nice people and very helpful. But that place totally lacks of management. I didn't want to spend money in hotel, and I regret it.

The test center is like the hotel, along the highway... they take you there.

You'll feel you are in the middle of nowhere... in a landscape that reminded me of Matrix Reloaded, the chase at the highway.

Proctors were very very nice... i made jokes, they made them back... and smiles everywhere.

Food, after 5 SPs (that went like a blitzkrieg) was pretty good, burgers, salads, and drinks.

They repeat everything from the CD from USMLE over and over again. It's exactly as depicted in the video.

SPs? The were damn good! really talented some of them.

Really, guys, diagnosis are really straight forward...

I was stressed, you always forget something... with the time strain no way you'll do the PERFECT encounter.

I think I did PASS.

But, you know how it works... LETS WAIT!!!

Thanks werther.. well i just got your past today as i returned from Houston. But you're right about the hotel... not somewhere i'd want to go again. At least you didn't see roaches.. it was horrible.

My experience in Houston seems similar to yours.... nice proctors, very skilled SP's.

But we didn't get burgers for lunch wink We had this really good alfredo pasta, with some chicken (i couldn't tell what kind of flavor the chicken had, but it was good). As well as some cold cuts with choice of sliced bread or baguette, and a big bowl of fruits. And brownies to top it off. No complaints about the Houston center at all!! nod

Just like you said it, we'll just have to wait and see how we did. G'luck to ya! I'm sure you did fine!

OK GUYS,

I am not sure I sit here to write this, but I think it's important to share it... it might me helpful to someone...

I FAILED.

I passed very nicely SEP and CIS, but failed ICE.

I COULD HARDLY BELIEVE IT.

I completed my residency training in Ob/Gyn, practiced for one year and then one year was off clinics doing a research fellowship.

As I said, I studied from FA, which apparently something was wrong. I practiced w my girlfriend some cases, I studied on my own others...

I can't really make sense out of it... I can only think HOW I will be missing this year's ERAS application and how costly all was... almost $1600 went down the drain...

I am devastated... I definetively underestimated this test.

I'm so sorry werther. But don't be discouraged. You can do it and if you apply soon you will be able to apply this match too. I know how hard it is but this time do it well so that you can earn soon.

I too did FA and UW with my hubby for two weeks, and history with dinie over the phone. I made many mistakes. There may be something wrong some where, but I'm sure you can do it

Good luck to you
