Kaplan Qbank USMLE

I still can not believe : I received my result after 3 weeks and I thought will be "failed" but was 99. I am not kidding!I checked OASIS thursday but my score wasn't reported. So no rush to the mail box saturday..But my score was there- maybe a gift for my birthday!...I couldn't believe it!
I took step 1 in jan and step 2 in may, 30. First step was difficult but the q were clear. Step 2 was different - q were vague, not to many informations about the patients and then they asked about treatment or complications of the disease.
First 2 blocks were tough and I guess I have been panicated a little bit.
I had a lot of hemato and coagulation but weren't too complicated q.
A lot of pediatrics with normal behavior/ analysis ( so the answer was reassurance) and a lot of neuro. Not too much cardio, not too much ob gyn ( I thought I had some easy q of ob-gyn but my performance was borderline here). Surgery was decent and psychiatry with vague q and a lot of atypical antipsychotic medication.
About my preparation- just kaplan books , kaplan DVD and I looked for a while through "Step up to medicine" and UpToDate ( that site is veryyyyyy gooood!!).I did Kaplan qbank , usmleworld ( very good) , Mock exam and kaplan qbook ( don't lose your time with the qbook is very, very easy!) and kaplan simulated test
I want to thank you guys- for the q, for the discussion and special thanks for deep99- very supportive and very nice person even she didn't know me!
Feel free to ask me anything!

Congratulations, great score! I have one question: you said that you've received the result although it did not appear as reported in the Oasis, is that correct? If you check now, does it appear as reported? It seems that Oasis is weird these days (someone had his result reported Thursday night, and now you case)... smiling face

I checked Oasis sunday again and the score was reported in 21th of june.

Step up to medicine is a good book but I can not compare with Kaplan because I didn't study to much form it- I used it just for some alghoritms ( acis-base status, endocrine, hyper/hypoNa) because I bought with 1 M before exam.I don't know how much is CK oriented!

Yes, kaplan qbank is very helpful and kaplan qbank- internal medicine is very good like a learning tool. Mock are good but too easy, they give you too many "buzz words" ; my exam was with short questions, few and vague informations and this is why I was so confused after !

Kaplan books are step 1 oriented and I think they are very good;also Katzung for pharma and Goljan for patho. Try to listen the DVD also- they were veryyy useful for me!! And do how many q you can -qbook, qbank, usmleworld.
