I heard and read about integrating different materials into each other:- the most famous example is filling in the gaps of FA from Kaplan (writing notes from Kaplan on FA) i read in one post if i remember correctly that he/she wrote sooo many notes on FA that the pages were almost falling apart! in another post some one said that he's doing the opposite:- he was writing FA on Kaplan LNs cuz he thought that FA would not be enough for him in the last days. So, i want to hear what you have to say about this issue ... Is integrating the material a good idea? if it is from which to where? Thanks...

Well its Depends if u r transferring stuff from Kaplan to FA then its kind ahard thing to do u can have the Medessentials book do that over there and save ur self the hassle of sticking pgs which will end up falling everywhere and u will end losing the Precious time and Effort u tookl to make the notes so the best way is to keepo FA and MEd Essentials hand in hand so then there is much problem of Notes falling. Intergrating Notes is the most imp part of the study WE all Shd and need to do it cos its helps inthe end.

Thanks for your reply, from the first paragraph i undertood that its more convenient to use KPL Med Ess with FA instead of writing all the note here and there on different books. But the last sentence got me a little confused ... do you mean integrating the subjects together?

No wht i meant was that FA is mostly used to Integrate KLN and thats kinda bothersome cos they r so many so the best the Thing is to Assimilate things into KLN from elsewhere on the First Read and then Go for the Med Essentials in the 2nd Read thus u r adding stuff from KLN to Med Essentials Cos u need to Know details u have studied. Now U start reading FA looking at the buzzwords so that when u do questions u add the extra buzzwords on the Med Essentials or FA Take ur pick but FA is best for Buzz cos all r in one place ( Buzzwords). By Integrating ur notes i meant Make the Dots, the Connections, the Chain of Links which u normally start making sense during ur 2nd read and finally during ur 3rd read u tend to figure out the next link on ur own. thats one way of doing things. Personally i simply go for the Concepts cos they r the ones that make me comfortable with wht i have read. Path is the only subject where sometimes u have to know things as they r but if u we get the concepts in Endo, Respi and Renal u will never miss a question from any of the systems. Concepts for me r life savers cos i get to review the whole chapter in my mind just by looking at the topic heading and thus finish the revision early. If u do things Systemwise they r a slow tedious way to do the study but u end up making a lot of connections in the end. These r my 2 Cents

Ok dude hook in phonics Gogeta style. If they say that neutropphils create something to destroy the lungs, and then they ask you about COPD because of smoking remember smoking increase 100% neutrophils in the lungs thats integration.

well i guess that the best way to integrate Physiology, Pathophysiology, Pathology, and Immuno/Micro is to read NMS Medicine... it highly focuses on basic knowledge and i found it really helping easpecially when dealing with the clinical based questions.
