Yea, but the option is the conversion reaction not disorder, which is not a diagnosis...

isnt malingering for some tangible gain, i dont see a tangible gain here. 2nd malingering have more subjective symptoms, sort of non specific. this q is troublesome as the only other option is conversion disorder which is not given is conversion reaction same as conversion disorder

i have browsed on the internet and it seems conversion disorder can be called conversion reaction! especially in the past. this emedicine article uses the terms interchangably:

i think this is malingering as she is doing it to get the gain of not leaving her mother .

I think this is malingering. Because in conversion disorder, there should be one or more neurologic symotoms like blindness, paralysis.

MALINGERING

(conversion disorder) NOT JERKS --- involves the involuntary loss of one or more bodily functions - blindness, paralysis, or the inability to speak. Diagnostic testing does not show a physical cause for the dysfunction.
