i know its a bit out of the topic, but i would like to clear( and ask again) what should you bring on the exam day? there's no orange permit anymore, right. everything you need has to be printed, right?

so all in all there will be two papers to be printed. one that says "Permit for NMBE Licensing Examination Services" and the other one " Thomson Prometric- Committed Registration". Sorry for such question, its just that my exam is in two days, and im kind'a in a panic attack.

gosh feyza, wish im also done with this exam like you. sad

Best of luck Clark .I think u also need ur ID .

Its better waiting with somebody and not alone, now imagen if you were all alone, gogeta would be naked in downtown asking for his gradegrin

you are funny smiling facesmiling face

docja..on path I guess here was 1-2 Qs on every topic so I cant say this was the most tested chapter...very fair and homogenous..I at a point felt all the clinical scenarios started with shortness of breath (not all were lung Qs )..some integrated with other topics like physio and micro...Goljan audios hit the bulls eye of your answer actually smiling face

clark-kent...I very well know the fear of unknown so never feel weird to ask such Qs hunny smiling face all you gotta bring with you is the paper you print out and write your candidate # on...I will check the title and PM you next week when I get home..no orange papers any more ...+ an ID like driving licence or passport...thats all...about food and coffee and stuff...there was a nice cafe IN my center so I had no problem about it...but maybe you can check yous he day b4 about that...very best luck smiling face

gogeta...I was like in a whirlpool in the first block bc I was having a panic attack !! it took me like 25 Qs to calm down sad then I was like " feyza...dont be stupid...feel like ur in the library doing UW or else !!!!! " I was the only one in the room which was a great advantage bc I jumped up and down to relax...yawned ...read the Qs loud...put off my slippers...u know...made myself feel at home smiling face so after that catastrophe I felt the blocks were all equal except for the 3. one !!!! Qs were long and hard in the 3. block! + I had time problem so felt like all blocks were hard but now I feel if I was prepared well enugh...I probably would find only the 3. one real hard !

guys...no worries...everything is IN YOUR BOOKS !!!! nothing from outer space...not too many HAAAARRRRDDDDD Qs to make you fail !! I mean if you want a 99...ok its hard but if well prepared...there are enough moderate Qs for you to pass easily ! just kep on reading smiling face

tc smiling face

CAGE Qs are the 4 Qs asked to an alcoholic and if the answers are YES ...it means the person is really addicted and will be having trouble to stop drinking...actually this was tested in my exam ...not directfwd but the Q was : wich of the following patients is under highest risk to be an alcoholic and the answer was one of the CAGE Qs smiling face

C A G and E stantds for the Qs ...I dont remember exactly now but the true option in my exam was : did you ever try and attempted hard to quit drinking ?

thanx for reminding me a true Q gogeta and yes you are in big trouble to get rid of your red screen anxiety smiling facesmiling facesmiling face

The CAGE ([need to] cut down [on drinking], annoyance, guilt [about drinking], [need for] eye-opener) questionnaire is the best-known and most-studied short screening test for alcohol problems. The CAGE questions should be given face-to-face (not as a paper and pencil test) and should be asked before questions on quantity and frequency (the sensitivity of the questions drops if quantity questions precede them).

  • The following 4 questions make up the CAGE questionnaire:

    • Have you ever felt the need to cut down on your drinking?
    • Have people annoyed you by criticizing your drinking?
    • Have you ever felt bad or guilty about your drinking?
    • Have you ever had a drink first thing in the morning to steady your nerves or get rid of a hangover?

  • Patients who answer affirmatively to 2 questions are 7 times more likely to be alcohol dependent than the general population. Those who answer negatively to all 4 questions are one-seventh as likely to have alcoholism as the general population.
  • The sensitivity of the CAGE questionnaire was thought to be 75%. More recent studies, however, show that the sensitivity is lower, particularly in populations with a lower prevalence, such as among female and elderly populations. The CAGE questionnaire also may fail to identify binge drinkers and cannot identify those who have not experienced the consequences of alcoholism. Nevertheless, the CAGE questionnaire is brief and easy to administer
