So hi back its like 3:00 AM and Ill be driving for a holiday tomorrow but this forum and you friends mean so much to me and my being able to keep happy till the last day that I dont care about being tired and I wanna write a few words...I have no courage to "teach" anything here because I have no clue what Ill be scoring...instead I wanted to start the topic just to tell what I saw and maybe you have things to ask...so I can answer b4 I leave tomorrow ... ( I hope we have internet in our rooms at holiday  hubby hopes not  )
first ...why I have no clue about what Ill score... because I read Kaplan from cover to cover once in 2.5 months in deep detail and short memory made it stick but when I came to the last 25 days to review I lost control...thats bc I WAS DEALING WITH SOO MANY STUPID DETAILS AND TRYING TO REVIEW ALL AGAIN !!!! If I could bring time back...I would again do the same thing...read it learn it memorise it like my name once ...BUT DO THIS WITH FA ON MY TABLE CONSTANTLY LIKE A MEDICAL DICTIONARY ...I mean every topic Im reading from Kaplan (or whatever but no no no no no no no biggies !! ) I would do this with the proper page of FA in front of me and take the very important notes on it SO THAT I MAY HAVE IT HANDY AND AVAILABLE IN MY LAST MONTH !
It wasnt all those details they wanted...actually to feel so...you have to read everything in detail once by heart ...then without any huge break to make you forget it all, you should be starting with Qs and FA ...
Goljan will make life real easy for you...I could listen only 19 of the audios in last week and Im soo angry to myself for not doing them all!! Hes my love (hubby thinks hes better not )
then Qs....I could do only 25% of both UW and Qbank but I guess UW is far too better ...still I would use Qbank too just to stick info easier and to practice timing...
big big trouble in timing...couldnt read 2-3 Qs / block  thats not bc it was very difficult but bc I was not prepared well enough...I mean we must do the thinking part during prep and jump to the Q in the exam...I did the thinking and figuring out in the exam too so time was a big deal for me ...Qs were quite long and youd better get your eyes used to lab values so you dont have to click that in the exam...there were real quiet easy and directforward Qs too ...maybe 45-50 ..
make up Qs....think if I was the Q-making-men for USMLE...how would I ask it to confuse the poor guy in the best way !!!! what would I put in the options to make him jump to the wrong one !!
if theres this hitting word about the defined thing...they definetely put it in one wrong option to make you jump to it...for example...stem defines high blood lipids...you give lovastatin...HMGcoA red inh attracts you there with some wrong ending...and the actual answer turns out to be some zinc finger stuff
similarly...in the exam I felt this like at least in 40 Qs : option A shouts out loud ....PICK ME PICK ME HERE IM THE ONE !!! then you feel hey it cant be this easy ...and it is nooott you go on checking and you see the true choice and get why they put that on A ! OR... you see another one or even two like A and get more confused ... OR you cant find a better one and go back to A and pick it... for example stem defines hypercholesterolemia type 2a again...you go then find out 3 options that concludes with less LDL res ... these Qs are not too many to make one fail no worries...all I wanna say is be ready for some unexpected not to get depressed in the first block !
so now I have no idea how many of those Qs I picked one out of 2 choices will turn out to be true and that means I can fail or pass maybe friends who passes tell me about this feeling
if I go topicwise...all Kaplan books were more than enough for all topics ! everything was there ! even in pathology ! no single Q on which I thought heyy ,thats not in Kaplan...but the way they ask it needs real learning it ...or you may feel the exam is difficult like me...actually its quite doable with a good prep and Goljan...
mol bio...a bit tough...I mean no new info but the way they ask makes it hard...no clue which book to be supplemented with...maybe its all about being used to it ...biochem great in Kaplan...if read properly...no way you miss a Q ....Im banging my head to miss the opportunity !!
PDR and etic Qs...like 2-3 attractive answers statistics very easy sens sps OR RR Qs...some weird graphs...
never ignore BT MR ...lots of them...only 1 ECG...1 fundoscopy...1 brain vessel angio...lots of graphs...I know I can figure out if I have time but no I dont so get used to them...they are not difficult just need to be KNOWN BY HEART ! 1 pedigree...a Q on almost every single genetic disease...not hard...test Qs like PCR NB...
pharma not detailed but autonomous drugs all in graphs and know well...
physio in graphs...
about 10 Qs like vignette ...3 substances (hormone enzyme blood value....) arrows up and down in options...
micro not hard at all... not even 1 ambryo Qs ...I killed myself to memorise those stupid arches in the hotel and not even 1 Q !
so guys Im loosing focus out of tiredness and this is becoming a bit disorganised...but I wanna say : PLZZ DONT THINK...THIS? THAT? WHERE? WHICH? WHY? JUST STUDY ...LEARN...YOUR BRAIN WILL AUTOMATICALLY START SCHEDULING YOU AND THINGS WILL BE EASIER as you go on and on... no panic in the last weeks...worst thing I did to myself !!!!
FA !! I wanted to jump down the car on the way back too see things there in bold letters that was word by word asked and made me loose minutes !!!!!!!!!!! (hubby said if I did, I would never learn if I passed or failed )
Ill try to write everything more organised if I pass ...plzz feel free to ask anything and Ill try to reply while packing up... I owe you a lot...even if I fail I owe you a lot bc without you I would probably not even find the courage to take the exam !!!

So which Q , as you said, UW & Q bank kap a must .

Hi my dearest friendssss God ! was a torture to be away from the forum for 2 days so Im back...in my room and yay !! yes theres internet in the room !! so plzz feel free to ask anything !!

I keep remembering and having flashbacks about the exam but I wont be checking the answers bc Im soo scared to see all wrong ones Ill try to relax in nice breeze and water and afterwards this will be a painful wait and Ill keep my books handy in case I have to retake it when Im back home...
yes Istanbul is great and I really would be pleased to host you and be your tourist guide in case you drop by but here where I came we have the opportunity to swim in the port in my avatar and theres this all girls place hahahahhaaa....what a exam exp forum like things here to write
so back to the exam lets see...
yes once again plz do not ignore FA and Goljan ...at least the audios... and lzz tell me where I can order the 500 page book and the Q books Im planning to start reading them...even if I pass it will work in step 2 ... ( believe me Im not fishing for NO WORRIES YOULL PASS posts.... I really dont feel confident even for a 76 ...lets see

I think RR path is worth to own, read for all steps, life [ for me ] .
500 page is oldest golj, but look on support or patho forum to dl all golj stuff.. audio, notes, slides . But for st 2 study fr Golj st 1 , ok, now , as far as no report in hand, you pass, until proven you've fail.
So now you want can read golj RR patho for st 2 purpose with audio.
You means Q book kaplan ?, check at support forum st 1 , alot of Goodgirl , etc post alot of stuff for us, thanks to her, them .

I love to go girls only swimming place . I miss our beautiful South East Asian, view, blue sky, blue water, sweet pleasant colorful beautiful flower nice smell , jasmin variety of them the most & sweet true organic fruites.. manoes, papaya.. sorry guys, cannot help it, can go on.
