i did step 2 cs about one month ago and i did so many mistakes i was sure i'd fail it. i got nervous on the first 5 cases, talking fast, forgeting to counsel, awkwardly examining patients and finishing way too early (in one case i was out of the room in 5 min). in other cases, i ran out of time, i forgot to drape the patient, i missed diagnoses...

i knew i had done terribly and thought i'd fail it. everyone was talking about the one or two mistakes thay had made, and i had done so many!! but today i did the oasis trick and I PASSED!!

so to everyone out there who thinks they did a million mistakes:

don't worry too much. if i passed, you will too.

hoping it won't be much harder after they change the grading policy!

Congrats Danny....ur post has given me a lot of courage...i just took mine this Monday and have been losing sleep since then. I was very fluent in all cases (the best plus i can give me)...but did a lot of mess like forgot to ask history of smoking in a coughing patient and another knee injury pt i did not remember abuse (when now i think thats wat it was)...im not sure my notes were good too....and im not sure that i did 100% examinations as i should have...as ive been out of clinics since 7 years...do u think patient notes are a big thing ? Maybe i just want to hear that ill pass.....oh god cant think of the other possibility...also would u care to share ur center...COngrats again

i have my exam in a week and i was kinda getting tense...reading this post has helped me to calm down a bit and made me tell myself to just go out there and think its just another day and that i'll be seeing 12 patients today. so hopefully i wont mess up all this hard work and money that has gone into preparing for these exams.
thanks for posting danny !! good luck for the match.

Ok so now I'm worried. I just took my exam in Houston last week. The proctors were really nice. But once the test started, so did the pounding of my heart. Once I left the center I started doing the mental list of all my mistakes---they are numerous. Now I'm thinking I'm in trouble with the new grading and all.
The case were like the FA and the UW but I did have two odd balls. When I say odd, I mean what the sp was telling me ruled out all my DD. Anyways....praying that I pass. I need to pass.
