obsession is the thought which keeps coming to mind despite your efforts (to keep that away) . usually this brings some anxiety and compulsion is what followed. people compulsively do some thing to avoid this anxiety.or to get relief. obsessive-compulsive personality disorder is a personality disorder. you dont catch a personality disorder. YOU ARE A PERSONALITY DISORDER! YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ONE! it is not that you are oneway at home and oneway at the work,you are the same where ever you go.
obsessive -compulsive disorder is a pyschosis. this is more severe of the two. usually first born males are affected by this. they love lists , orderliness, punctuality and want to make life as predictable as possible. it is a pain in the ass to be with these people. these find their spouses to be just, purely lazy and lousy though. clomipramine is the treatment of choice for this disorder.
