Yes, according to the bulletin, a decrease of 8% in the approval rate of IMGs would be expected using the new standards in the recent CS exams... That is a significant number.

ALL they're changing is the english proficiency component.

If we're all proficient enough in the English language to be able to chat on this forum, then i'm sure none of us will have problems with the new passing requirements!! wink

If your english sucks (communicatin with the patient) then you will suck in residency... so it should not be a problem if you are able to communicate correctly in a patient encounter.. dont worry...

practice is the key.. learn how to take good history.. concised and relevant..good manners and yuo will be fine.
