HELP ASAP PLEASE.

okay so i got med esentaisl, and i have kaplan notes with the audio info, already written into them.

NOW............ what i have started to do,, is take the info rfrom my kaplan book, and add little bits to the med essentaisl. sometimes to make it complete , or to make it make sense.

my reasoning was, that at the end i can walk around with a 500 page medesentials with ALL the kaplan in it... and FA.

but now i just realized, its called med esentials for a reason. am i really stupid to write down info from kaplan into med esentials, since med essentials is jus the high yield info?!

my stupid reasoning was, okay, yea its 500 pages of HY info, but if i add say even (im exagg here) but 50 pages of extra info. its still only like 550 pages, versus 200 pages/per kaplan book

someone please help me asap. i need to either continue my studyin in thw ay im doin, or completley stop.

the way i am studying is..

i read the kaplan chapter once. to make sure it makes sense. then i go through it in my med esentials and my FA, and add anystuff ,that isnt already written. this way, i will just chuck my kaplan book, after everythin has been written down into the two . and just memorize and understand those books then.

someone please help me asap

when is ur exam? if u have enough time to write down into KME then its ok.....bt if u really running short of time then i think u should not waste tht time ......have u tried FA?

thanks for replying . lol i think ive been on a roller coaster with this idea

well i wrote all my pysio into my medess. but now i am running out of time, to do that with everything else. i think, that sincec medess has a fair bit of kaplan notes in there, i might just add those into my FA instead, if anything is missing..

is that a better idea?

I tried doing the same some time ago , thinking the same as you. In a few days I realised that there were so many sticky notes and margins filled with my writings. Those pages were looking so ugly that I hated to read them ( may sound like a silly reason but I enjoy reading a neat and clean book ) grin.

Now I think that we should read a chapter from Kaplan book and then memorize it from KME and FA. So that in the last days before exam we can revise from KME and FA.

Look Its easier to say that u made notes the point is not making notes only but get that particular concept Stone Cold and then in the End Add the Missing HY point to it. I havent Touched FA or Medessentials (like adding Notes to it) but i have done something else; i have created Specific Margins Notes along every pg of the Kaplan Lecture Notes, a very short hand, modified version of HY Facts, a summary so to speak. I dont review the Whole book i just go thru those points and fill in the story in between the gaps so at the end of the day i can easily cover the entire book under 5 hrs. Now u wud say how r gonna cover it all. Well Goljan is the Answer and then just Skim thru FA like Reading a short story. I have Treated FA as Novel which has been converted for the Moives Edited and Short Versioned ( an adaptation) so i have to know the whole version first. So i m doing these is tht i just open FA 2004 Ed look that Topic and revise the entire topic in my mind and with Kaplan Margins notes i m going better.

But there is also a another way to cover ur topics in the end . Kap Qbank and UW do them Random and timed mode and cover all the Sections the fastest revision i have doen so far is with the help of Questions. Cos i have to learn to skip between topics and thats how the exm is gonna be so i try to adapt.

Thank you so much NNL, for that excellent method of studying. Since I am in my first read and am doing something similar, it is very encouraging to know that it is working! I am hoping to follow your suggestion when it comes to final read, after UW and Q bank. nod
