Yea superantigen.

Would be E, bc superantigen binds to Beta chains on TCR and alpha-chains on MHC class II. So all TH1s with similar beta chains regardless of specificity are activated at once.

Pyrogenic (erythrogenic) toxin of Streptococcus pyogenes is a superantigen. It superstimulates a large number of Tcells by binding to all TCRs which display a particular variable region on the beta chain (as many as one in five T ells carries the same variable beta subunit). This results in a widespread cytokine mediated pathology analogous to shock induced by lipopolysaccharides from gram negative bacteria.

It is B..... Concept is all CD4 T cells recognise Antigen +Class2
E does not fit for super antigen behaviour anyway..

I have seen this Q in Kaplan, yes the anwer is E, Str. pyogenes exotoxin mediated toxic shock.

Checked Kaplan Immunology lecture notes. The correct answer is indeed "E".

Because superantigens bind outside of the antigen bindng cleft, they activate any clones of T cell expressing a particular variable beta sequence and thus cause polyclonal activation of T cells, resulting in overproduction of IFN-gamma.
