it is used to treat anaerobic infections, eg, bacteriodes fragilis and Clostridium perfringens. It is bacteriostatic, rather than bacteriocidal. Blocks peptide formation at 50S subunit, and an SE is pseudomembranous colitis. What drug is it?

yup its clindamycin as it causes superinfection with C. difficle and also acts on the 50S subunit
