JOB ASPECTS
Thanks for stopping by Supriya and BW. I love endocrino...  Supriya you will get over very quickly.
Very happy today, can not thank God enough, I got a different job with less hours and better paycheck. It is difficult for IMGs like me to find a decent job here in US because I don't have any certification yet, so hopefully after this exam I will get my ECFMG certification and start a job as a research assistant, but until then I will keep this new job and take care of CK and step 3 then move to a different state. It is ironic but eventhough I am not working as a physician here I make here 5 times more that if i would work as a physician in my homecountry uhhhhhmm. Besides if I would stay in my country i would have to start my residency there but then leave it in the middle of the road, take someone else opportunity(another doctor that has plans to stay there for a lifetime) and then come here to start a new residency. It doesn't sound good to me. Indeed it hurts not to work as a physician but It is just temporary. I wish I would knew about this USMLE when i was a medical student but I am not worry about things I can not change. I started this difficult road instead of staying very confortable in my country  and i am going to go to the end...lets keep going!!!!!!!!
I finished the last 8 questions of endocrino and I got 100% ha,ha( It is second time thought )Ready to make some addicional notes and start SURGERY.

OH Ivonne....your words make me think.....,
I look at my self...I look at my country...I look at my life her and feel desperate to change it.
if I told you how much is the physician making her as monthly salary you wont believe me...
Her...after 6 years of studying and 1 year of training in university hospitals ...I get my job and start working as Physician and get [ 40 $ ] a month ...can you imagine {[ a month }] not a day ...
Of-course I'm supposed to eat, drink, live, get clothes, pay transports [ don't dream of getting a car ] , pay for USMLE, and save some for the unrevealed future ...., so I keep thinking, who in the world will think of leaving this fancy life in my beloved country and take the hard road to USA???!!!....
hhmmm enough thinking.., God be with me to change my life...

Dear friends, you both are right. It's good to know that we are not alone in this path. Let's keep going. I have the whole day to study (start orientation in my new job tomorrow)...what a luxury...ok lets hit SURGERY. Never had any problem with this topic. During my internship in my country and in a private practice I performed some of the common surgeries under supervision of course. ok let's start.

Congratulations! That one's for your CS results and also for your new job. I can understand about hours and pay on a job. I am glad you are getting less hours and better pay, so hopefully you will be able to devote more time to the exam.

Thanks match08. It means a lot to me. Just came back from orientation day, made a cup of coffee and ready to hit the books. I will try not to check the match forum frequentely. Thank you so much Feyza and Nany we all are working hard to make our dream come true, there is not other way but just working hard in what we enjoy the most MEDICINE. I don't believe in that people that just pop up in exam experiences saying "full time work, prep for 2 months and 99" . Don't forget to buy UW or kaplan or Secrets...call now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!For God's sake... I am sure that honest and serious people in this forum have to work their brain off to get a good score. I believe that there are genious...hats off...but not that many.
Well just came back from work. I finished yesterday 32 pages kaplan notes, aiming to finish the first 50 pages today and jump up to Rheumatology(second reading) and do some UW question. Got FA 2007 today. It is a nice book. Good luck everyone.

Finally done with the first 50 pages of surgery, 17 more and the the fun part starts, SURGICAL VIGNETTES , but I need a break and start doing questions. Ok Rheumato here I came Just 18 pages(Second reading of kaplan notes) plus my brand new FA, step up, pathology, Secrets and UW. That should be enough to kill Musculoskeletal chapter. Get to work...

Same goal today since I went to sleep early last night, but today after a nice breakfast i am ready for Ck.

Done with kaplan notes and FA(this new edition is great) plus i don't have to write too much because almost everything is in there. I have to take a break, it is someone's special birthday, after that I will finish with step up and UW. break time

Thanks njcjzy, i am trying to organize family/studies/work/physical/spiritual aspects We can do it!!!!!!! Just trying not to waste time in dreaming. I love them with passion but actions are the ones that change the world .
Just finished UW rheumato(second time) got over 90% but it doesn't matter now, the most important is to bild up strong knowledge and confidence. This time I am not going to waste a day to start prep for step 3 
Ok, I will make some extra notes for Rheumato and move onto the 18 pages remaining in surgery and jump up to the vignettes. I hope to have fun...Have a great day everyone

Hi guys just finished dinner after a long day at work. The only part i don't like too much about this new job is that i have to learn a new software that is taking time away from my Ck prep. I love to learn new things and new jobs but they are asking me to study extra staff after work argggg I wish I can tell them i don't have time for it, after 8 hours of work and 2 hours in transportation and all the staff i have to do before work(try to look pretty ). The good thing is that it is gonna take me to learn this new job a couple of weeks and then i will have at least 6 hours for Ck.
Today's goal: Finished what was left yesterday. Good luck everyone

oh dear Ivonne  ....how can they do this to you??!!!!
don't they know you have an exam to study for??!!!
they can lessen the working hours[ 8 hours is too much] and you should be transformed to some place near home[ 2 hours is toooo much] and they can't ask you to do extra stuff after work[ this is too too too much]...., but no body can ask you to save time in "the stuff you have to do before work" [ to look pretty ]...this is the most important part of the day...
never give it up girl never  .

Nany: My sweet friend. That job is not filling my expectations I thought that it would be just 2 weeks training but I was told today that I will have training each month , honestly I am not interested in knowing a whole new field so I have to re-think about it. My priority are the steps so as a smart girl I should think about something else that will go along better with my studies.
BW: Thanks for stopping by I have a phrase for you that I read somewhere in the forum: The world, they say, steps aside for a man who knows where he is going.
