DAY 49
Nothing exciting has happened, just working in Nepro that btw Does kaplan forgot about the glomerulonephritis? or am i missing a book ?because IM kaplan doesn'n have it.
Today's goal
- Finish Genitourinary and electrolytes UW and study the answers.
- Re-read my own notes OBGYN and FA(I am not watching the DVDs since I feel strong in this topic) and maybe do a block of UW.

Hey multi, thanks i wish i can be faster, eventhough i am taking more of my levothyroxine(just kidding).
wow just found out the most extreme difference between the score of 2 tests(nepro UW), who knows why, just happy that i have improved, now onto the explanations...

Thanks, nany. So far the day is going great. Done with the explanations that btw is time consuming but very useful. I deserve a break...will put my christmas tree up and then onto electrolytes 46 questions, hum i know in advance that i am gonna sock but i gotta do it.

It was a long break but took care of christmas decoration, dinner and most importantly i did the electrolytes block. Best part my score was ok 65%. i run out of time so i didn't have time to re-check answers. ok so far i just need to do Ophthalmology, ENT,OBGYN and biostadistics(this last one i will leave at the very end, to memorize formulas and because i hate it!) and will be done with UW(first time of everything and some chapters second time such as GI, endocrino and rheumato).
So, i will work with UW(second time til the end of this month along with FA and watch some relevant Kaplan DVDs(Cardiology for sure) and by January second give NBME form 1(because the 01/01/08 i am celebrating the new year big time!!!!).
Will jump up onto ENT questions(31 UW) after a quick hit of Secrets ENT. Let's go!!!

Thanks Feyza, strongly believe that hard work is paid off, because i am really working my a$$ off he,he. You are so sweet for asking God the miracle, I appreciate it!!!!!. 90 plus 9 will make me happy for sure, that is not a secret desire...it is official
Ok, starting late today after a good night of nice sleep(way too much) and having breakfast(made by hubby that btw i have to thanks for his love, support and understanding). So, today will work with the 3 per 3 formula again:
- 3 hours for UW explanations(electrolytes and ENT)
- 3 hours for re-reading OBGYN own notes, FA and probably the DVDs related to Fetal evaluation(stress test and so for)
- 3 hours for UW(3 blocks OBGYN)

Hi Ivonne, you are amazing in the study. I can only study three blocks of questions each day, nothing else, while you can do three different things in a day. Keep it up, friend. I need to speed it up now.

NJCJZY: Thanks. You are right sometimes to study the explanations takes for ever and i if i want i can spend the whole day studying just one block (has happened to me before). I am trying to stick to that schedule but yesterday fell behind a bit so today i will make it up.
FEYZA: Thanks buddy, just pushing hard, no matter the score, no regrets since i am trying to do my best.

Finish the last part of the yesterday's goal.

Njcjzy: definetely, there is not other way, sometimes i would love to read faster but then i Stop and think "maybe i will get a question about this" "slow down and UNDERSTAND for God's sake". Good luck friend.
Nany: Not bad, yesterday ate, drank and breathed FA. It is the book that i want to master and know it by heart(besides the Qbanks).

OMG, I though i was strong in OBGYN but UW slapped me badly(Qbook was butter at this point). Had a lot of mistakes regarding C section indications, isoimmunization, amenorrhea, prenatal evaluation and so for. I better watch some specific DVD's before i go further...

LOL feyza. I feel that we are a family here...can not stop laughing. Love the idea about UW and love the breaks because i check the journals and always something is going on.
I watched OB DVD. OMG the guy loves his staff that is good for learning so i will do something different today.

actually Ivonne I loved the OBS DVDs..........
this guy it putting every thing in tables that is very easy to absorb and makes you familial with the step wise approach of what ever topic...

Break again, UW score is improving. Agree with you Nany and I think that is the most important ENJOY WHAT WE ARE DOING. Ok will spend some time with my husband and get back to the DVDs.
