this extract comes from USMLE website

"A small number of multiple-choice items with associated audio and/or video clips will be introduced into the USMLE Step 2 CK Examination beginning in early August 2007. No more than 5 items with associated media clips will appear in a single examination. The 2007 USMLE Orientation Materials include a small number of multiple-choice items that contain exhibits involving audio and/or video clips. Instructions for practicing with items with associated media clips on Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3 are provided in the Tutorials for each Step examination in the orientation materials. "

I was just wondering about this.

They say that these types of media/audio/video questions will start at the beginning of August 2007.

We know that there are a number of experimental questions and as far as I know, they can't add a question to the question bank unless it has previously been an experimental question... since they need to check if it's a good question or not.

SO, does this then mean that in early August, ALL the media questions will be experimental? grin

early August? how early? probably no such question on August 1.

I wish you are right.

So it will not be a problem as long as we take CK in very early August.

I have no idea how early in August but lets hope this is the case (that they won't count the audio/visual questions till they have been properly tested and experimented!)... I don't know how many times they need to show up as experimental before they show up as being a real question... Anyone know?
But in any case just do the question as if it were to count!
