A 22yo man presents with a 10 year history of recurrent angioedema particularly over the lips and eyes. He has had throat swelling on three occasions. These episodes seem to occur randomly, approximately monthly, and there is no association with food, medications or enviromental exposures. His father reports having similar symptoms for years. The patient is healthy otherwise. Physical exam is normal although he brings in photos showing marked angioedema of the orbits and lips. The medication to treat this patient's disorder

A. Danazol

B. Predinisone

C. Epinephrine

D. Diphenhydramine

E. Zafirlukast

It is Danazol----prophylactic treatment!

This is a complement deficiency most likely C1 esterase defiiciency it is autosomal dominant disorder with recurrent episodes og angiodema management is danazol
