hey everyone,

i have my exam in about 9 days, i can not concentrate. even when i am doing questions sometimes i just lose it and think to my self " i do not care " and i would end the block even with out of trying harder.
oh right, and i used to be able to finish on time, now i can not, i am always losing the last 4 or 5 questions!
i'm trying to concentrate, but no matter how much i sleep i'm always tired, no matter how hard i try, i can not finish on time!
i tried to sleep earlier, and i even changed the way i study, and how i study with, but still no real improvement.
i can not seem to be able to concentrate, its as if i lost my mind!

please help, anyone, any advice, please help

amer

looks like u r burnt out and subconsiously tensed abt exam
dont let all ur hardwork go to waste, be confident , just take a break for a couple of hrs and collect urself together
speak to ur close ones who will perk u up, avoid negetive people at this time
have u taken NBME? if u have not taken it, then my feeling is u should, (but its too close to exam though) so that u know where u stand in ur prep and that might lessen ur tension a bit, but it might work the other way round too, but most of the times it gives a fair estimate
if ur tension is becuase of unpreparedness then u can always postpone exam(if thats possible)
good luck to u

when you actually sit for the exam, you will initially have some problems getting through the blocks on time, but eventually you end up in "the zone." You will just fly through them, you won't know how you did it, and you will only remember the ones you didn't know. I used to go jogging every day for 30-40 min and then rest another 30-40 after that. That was a great way to generate endogenous endorphins, relax, subconsciously process information, and get in great shape! Alas, I don't have time to jog anymore, but it served me in good stead

two things to remember.....

1. Nothing in life worth having comes easy.

2. There is no chance, no fate, no destiny, that can circumvent or hinder or destroy the firm resolve of a determined soul.

Good luck.
