I was going thru ERAS application page and i noticed that it doesnt ask you about your year of graduation however when we applied for usmle steps, ECFMG applications, it did ask abt three things, 1. exam held, 2 graduation date. 3. diploma recieved. Is it true that we do not have to mention our year of graduation any where in ERAS application? My dillema is that my results were announced in 2001 where as diploma was recieved in 2002. I found out thru ECFMG, in USA they consider year of graduation same as diploma recieved. This will change alot of things specially cut off of various hospitals. I our country however, we consider results announced as graduation so i wrote in ecfmg application that my yr of grad is 2001. So if i dont have to mention 2001 anywhere in eras i can apply to alot more programs. Thank you.

Consider date when diploma was "issued" not "recieved"... It´s the same situation in my country..., but for ECFMG consider when diploma was issued..., in your case graduation 2001 and diploma 2002, it favours you...

Thank you egomez for a prompt reply. Yes i meant diploma issued not recieved, oops my bad. Just one more question, do they ask this question in ERAS anywhere e.g write your date of graduation.? Is it true that we do not have to mention our year of graduation any where in ERAS application? Thank you.

In your CAF, you will have to add your DATE OF DEGREE. I think that for application purposes graduation and diploma issue means the same.
