I took my step II in end of October and matched. That having been said, some programs want you to be ECFMG certified before they will even look at your application, and that must be before the application deadline. For some programs that is 12/1/end of November. I know I was rejected from some programs because of that.

hey retroviridae,
can u plz tell me exactly wen u gave all ur exams coz even i am planning to give CK in oct.i have only given step1 and plan 2 give step2 CS in dec7 do u think i have a chance for 2008 match?

hi poojvan,
i think u should try to take CS now.....CS should always be taken earlier bcz its results take long time.....if you do CS now and take step 2 in late october u can go for match in good shape....
besides if you have good english and u are a good actor u can prepare for CS in 2 wks...it is not an exam of your knowledge.....JUST SKILLS
