Can anyone tell me 'Whether I should tell the Sp that Cancer is the most likely diagnoses'.

how should I tell the patient about bad prognosis of his/her condition.

If not yet diagnosed then I guess I will try to avoid it by telling the probables, eg saying 'i will run some tests and till the results come in we will sit together and go over the treatment options / Mx plan.If at all it is most likely yet still i will like to go over the probables Diagnosis something like that "from the impression i get based on the Hx & PE there is a high chance that you may have Ca , I am here to help you in every way that i can..... If he already is Dx & knows then i will tend to lean more towards the empathic side. Dont know for sure though ...if anyone will like to through some more light into the matter , ill appreciate. Thanks
