Hey guys, (specially those who have already written their exam) I am following kaplan for everything, but in Internal medicine I am really confused. Too many Qs in USMLE world aren't from this book, this worries me a lot . Am I reading the right thing for this exam ? (If u think about the depth of knowledge, then obviously there is no end, but I am specifically asking for a book to do well in this exam) Should I read any complementry book along with that, if yes please tell me which one ? I hope other subjects are good there , if anyone has anything to add, please go ahead. PJ07

Kaplan IM is all that you need. Don't lose faith. Keep reading it. It seems like there is so little in that book. I remember thinking there is no way that is enough. But somehow they know what to put in there for you to do really well

I have just started doing IM too and have had the same feeling as you about kaplan LN IM. I don't like this book but according to what everyone says it should be enough so I am just trying to make my own alghorythm for each disease if it's not in there. Also I am having a lot of problems in following Dr Fischer's lecture: I really don't like his way of teaching. I wish dr Sakala or Dr Pestana were internists too...

I meant "certainly”. Yes u r right about Fischer, listening to his lectures on tape is really annoying, it might be an interesting experience in the classroom, and (u won’t fall asleep). Thanks retroviridae for the encouraging words, n p53 for the suggestion
