* Which is the Most common cause if a patient has raynaud's phenomenon?

*How do you treat it?

*Which is severe? primary or seconday Raynaud's?

  #2

most common cause,........no idea

treatment,........give amlodipine, alpha blockers

i think secondary is more severe, not bcos of the manifestations of raynauds per se, but bcos of the underlying conditions,....and to differentiate primary from secondary raynauds ,....look for nail bed cappilary folds with an ophthalmoscope,....

correct me plz if i am wrong

you call as raynauds phenomenon if its secondary to some disease like CREST syn, SLE etc.

if its primary cause, then you call as raynauds disease.

raynauds disease is more severe than raynauds phenomenon. so primary raynauds is more severe than secondary one. Because it commonly leads to limb ischaemia.

Treatment for both the conditions is similar.
