Hi all, Gave my CS yesterday. I am not sure how I did. It was like a "METRO" train reaching the destination without any stops. You will never know that time is flying...This is the point in your life where " Time is really precious". I got 12 cases- 10 straight from FA and UW and 2 out of bounds! Few blunders and mistakes I made : *Asked Menstrual history for a patient who said to me that she had hysterectomy in her hospitalisation history. *Asked a 18 year old girl -" What major?" when she told that she is a high school SENIOR. Amidst tension, I can hear only the word Senior that I thought she was an undergrad. *Could not figure out the diagnosis in those 2 cases. * I was asked thrice by the patient - " Wat's that?". So I have to repeat it slowly. Tips to future test takers : * Don't be tensed at all!! BE COOL!! Even if you are cool you are going to forget things-Imagine the situation if you are tensed! *Study DD and Investigations along with the case. Don't skip it to the last. *I was wondering why everybody in the forum was talking about PRACTICE. Now I feel that You will become a ROBOT in exam. So ROBOT will work only if it has input. For that INPUT -Practice is necessary. More practice--->Efficient Robot. *Some SP's will talk so nicely -So don't get carried away for 2 reasons 1.Time is very important 2. You could escape yourself from making unnecessary mistakes like what I mentioned before (Senior). *Imagine SP's as your girl friend you are loving to meet---In that case, Won't you do anything in the world to make her comfortable and happy? ...Make it a habit while practisisng itself. I am not sure of my results. I am not aware of what I did. I think I sticked to PAMHUGSFOSS,draped and closed nicely in all cases. I am not sure about the other mistakes since it is blocking me right now.I would appreciate if anyone could let me know about the concept of "Only 10 cases " is for evaluation!!! All the best to all!

hi rock..I am not sure of the hotels since I stayed in my friend's room. All the best to you! Hi doc.sam--I can understand your concern.I know how anxious you are[Still not getting away from CS ]..Well, I will not say understanding them is very easy but at the same time it is NOT very tough. Be slow in asking or answering to them. That will definitely help!Regarding uncooperative patient , I had one---They will frustrate you like anything-Do whatever you can for that patient.Just you have to remember that they are acting...But it is really hard to do practically---Exams will be like a real life patient enounter. They will act brilliantly!

thanks sprint123, your post is really helpful. did yu get any telephonic encounters? could yu discuss what cases yu got if yu feel comfortable about it. doc.sam, i know what yu mean and FA and UW give yu lots of ways on how to deal with those difficult situations. practice them, memorize them if yu have a prob with english so that on exam day yu dont sound like someone who doesnt know his english too well. good luck.

Hello drm2006....First aid has 27 practice fulll cases and all othe minicases. I would suggest you to look into UW too since they cover all topics and use FA as an additive to UW..There are few cases in UW which is not covered in first aid! All the best!
