Hi ya all...
My exam for step 1 (my 2nd try actually) is on the 16th this month and my final prep is driving me crazy.
Im half-way through the UW qbank, with cummulative score of 57%, and doing mostly between 55 to 65% per block. On Kaplan Qbook I average 60%. these past few days have been really hectic. Im going through FA and my notes one last time. i just wish I still have the energy to keep on stuffing these last-minute info. Argghh!

I've just been through the same situation, but keep in mind that these last days are very important... Try to focus on your notes and key facts on FA (such as drug interactions, side effects, etc). You won't regret that.
And plan ahead your last night before the exam, it is really important to be in great shape to face those hundreds of questions.

thanks to you all...
Im on my last day of review today. started the day doing 100 Qs from UW then decided to take a break . averaging 50 to 55% on the unused questions. maybe later i'll finish the 36-page goljan HY and most of the minor subjects. 
tomorrow is another story. maybe just the goljan 36-page and FA rapid review part (if I can resist them). get some rest, i suppose.

Dont even worry about it.....yur gonna kill that exam....yur big day is tommorow. Ill make sure I pray for you. Go in there thinking you know it all and watch...you'll walk out of there knowing you knew it all. Yur gonna be just fine. I promise.

sorry to have kept you guys n gals waiting. Celebrated father's day yesterday with my wife and kids at Universal studios (yes, Im from California) had a severe headache once I got back, probably the heat...
I gave my very best on the test last saturday. the first 2 or three blocks were relatively easy. the fourth and fifth were doable and the last 2 blocks had me literally squeezing my brain to answer some of the stuff...
I think there were 5 to 8 pics per block, gross, microscopic and funny graphs and caircatures... It was a good thing that I reveiwed the Goljan 36pp high yield questions coz a lot came out. But still I was smilling throughout the exam. Maybe Im a masochist?
Is the USMLE an adaptive exam? coz I noticed most of the biochem stuff popped out during the last 3 blocks. Or maybe because my mind was so numb that I couldn't remember what there were talking about. And yeah, I took a LOT of breaks. Helps the circulation a bit and helps your back coz its not easy sitting for 7 full straight hours while your butt turns numb.
by the way, since this the peak season for the usmle, does this mean that there will be some delay in ther score reporting?
