Hi guys, I really need an advice. I started today IM lectures from conrad fisher's cardiology: wow he is totally crazy! I mean he generates memory when explains but, my goodness, he also generated a terrible headache in me after just 60 mins.... He's always screaming like a goose.... In the past I listened to his highlights for step 1 and found them kinda useful but during the full time lectures he never goes to the point

i happen to have access to a mayo clinic dvd course for preparing to the ABIM and i also have the book that accompany this course. The lectures faster (for instance in cardiology there are 3.5 hrs vs kaplan's 7 hrs) and the book pages are almost the same amount as kaplan. I am thinking of doing most of IM from here.

Now my question is has anyone already used these mayo clinic review lectures? Do you think it's a risk to leave kaplan for such an important topic as IM? I think it can take less time doing the Mayo stuff and maybe they could also have more infoes, but it's just a feeling. What do you think?

You can see the Mayo lecture about MI at this link, if you want

I think thats part of the plight. Find out whats most efficient cost wise and academic wise. Especially if Fischer is good for an "Excedrin headache". Also Kaplan does not absolutely have there life absolutely dependent on these heavy weight exams like us. They keep a hand in your pocket and its a strong monopoly.
