ECG findings in pericarditis. These are divided into 4 stages  Stage 1 Onset: Day 2-3 Duration: Up to 2 weeks Diffuse concave upward ST segment elevation ST segment depression in leads aVR or V1 Concordant T Wave changes PR Segment depression in leads II, AVF, and V4-V6  Stage 2 Duration: Days to several weeks ST segment returns to baseline T Wave flattens  Stage 3 Duration: Several weeks ST segment returns to baseline T Wave inverts in leads II, AVF, and V4-V6  Stage 4 Duration: Up to 3 months Gradual resolution of T Wave inversion . The easiest way to remember these sequential changes is to conceptualize the four stages as follows: Stage I everything is UP (i.e., ST elevation in almost all leads , concave upwards- except avr v1 and 111) Stage II Transition ( i.e., "pseudonormalization"). Stage III Everything is DOWN (inverted T waves). Stage IV Normalization.
