Hello g's - New on the forum..
Well i am student from greece.. Took the test about 2 weeks ago and i truly don't know what to expect..

I did the nbmes 1:790 3:800 about 3 weeks before the exam and my uw average was 92(94 percentile) scoring average 95's near the exam(90-98's)in 2-3 blocks of mixed new 50's- did 88% of it. I did the whole kaplan but it doesn't count bcz did it in subjects..I thought that i was pretty much ok so i took the step of the step..

However the night before the exam i hardly slept for 1-2 hours and i was feeling dead tired even before i entered the room..i wasn't very anxious- just so tired i just wanted it to end..The result was that i did a lot of stupid..STUPID mistakes..at least 10 (leaving alone another 10-20 i remember i wasn't sure about and did not find the answers in any textbook)..Furthermore the rest of the test is now just 8 hour blank space in my mind so i must have done more stupid mistakes i don't remember..This did not happen on the nbme's or the 350's i did on uw..so the thing is i truly don't know what happened that rainy day(yes it was raining in May!!)..If i take the results and see 76 or something i will not be very surprised..

I just read in the Usmle website that there will be a delay until July 18 before anyone should start waiting for results..so..Now i AM anxious..

Does any one have an idea about how the number of mistakes reflects on someone's score? I know that 50 are trashed.. nevertheless..

Your nbme scores are staggeringly great.
Even if you did 50 qs wrong....you still can get 250 grin

and I'm sure you'll get a lot more than that.
and please don't fret. You have worked so so so hard...you will b rewarded accordingly.

if these scores ar accurate i think youll be getting a greaaaat score ...

Giorgos ...I see you have only 1 posts tilll now so I assume youre new here and never read about NMBE and UW scores in this forum and what clue your scores should be giving to you smiling face

u know what !! normally we the forum gang...if someone here use these two words together : an NBME score of like even 500 and nervous words about passing...read again..like 500...what we do is grab him ...tie him to a tree...wear our paints and masks...pour honey on him...then ants on top of it...then bird weathers on top of all and dance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God !!!! youll be scoring damn good

Hey people.. Thank you all for all the encouraging replies...You are truly a warm gang here..

Don't get me wrong though..I didn't post here to play crying little mary. I know that the scores were very good..and what they correlate to..(i suppose all img's have to have more in order to feel confident enough to take the test given that stp1 score is virtually the only us based criterion someone would have to present) However as i wrote at first i didn't do as usually on the test day...After the test remembering so much mistakes..(even things i wanted to change didn't mark - forgot..a mess) felt like a downhill..still does..I know for sure that i made a number of mistakes..questionmark to others - what i don't know is where these will take me.. The thing is that unfortunately it is THAT day that counts and NOTHING else..not the nbme scores not th uw scores.

On every forum there are all kinds of estimations prognostics etc etc..but nothing related to after test information..

So..knowing that 50 q's do not count in the test..Could someone make an estimate (even vague) of a score related to a number of mistakes even if you don't know which are or are not in the non counted 50 ?

Good luck w/ your results. Maybe you were anxious enough that you made mistakes on the day of the exams.But hopefully you did as great as your nbme results.

when your scores come out (hopefully great ones) dont forget to share your plan and experiences with us ... im sure a plan that got you 790 on nbme would be great, with good or nongood scores !!!

95 % USMLE world and you are scared?? Are you kidding? I was averaging 55 and I am expecting a decent score. Where are you man?

Hey I never heard a 95% of UW so why are you scared! You should expect real good results, trust me hard work never goes wasted. shaking head

hey dude ... if your scores are true (which I don't think so) you should get a score in the range of 280-300 or even 350 if such a score even exists !
