not a big one..... H INFLU... type B.....vaccine preventable...... polysacch capsule..... polyribitol PO4.....specific for type B.... major cause of epiglot....in children.

other causes are..... S aureus S pneumoniae C albicans Several viruses like RSV... Traumatic epiglottitis can occur from direct trauma and thermal injury.
