Hypertonic sodium can correct QRS prolongation
Why? Mechanism of action?

  #5

Sorry, just corrected

  #6

By Giving Hypertonic Sodium/Saline Solutions we can induce the Alkanization of the ECF and ICF while overloading the Sodium in ECF changes the ionic conc. of both Sodium and Calcium across the Cell Membrane thus causing a shift in the Ca/Na pump and reducing the Polarization time period in the Cell. The MC of QRS complex prolongation is the changes in the Ca/Na pump either due to its blockade or the effects of ph Changes in the body.

The Same Occurs in TCA poisoning
