There are many people who are into residencies and do visit this forum on and off..posting suggestions or replies...though I guess residencies do blow the winds out of many sails...

oh come on guys... 60-90 hr work weeks isn't exactly conducive to surfing this forum... so if after residency some people don't make their way back it understandable... besides many people who have already matched are still here giving advice and suggestions...

I heard that you should able to work at least 100 hr a week, not a good time to date, have movie with date & you'll be snoring beside him/her , then get ..... you know. Also said , hardship, real life just start when the residency start . God, please help us, with new rules, if the hospital follow , we will have time to come back here , chat or guide or share. So far good, best place still get you work 100 hr at week or more. GL to all of us

My experience is that almost no one returns after the match... too busy or not interested anymore (who knows?) I started in the forum 2 years ago and I haven't see most of that time gurus... It is like the life cycle... you start your steps prep, apply to the match, you share your experience, and then fade away.... I'm about to fade away...

Maximum hours worked is 80 hours averaged over 4 weeks. And it's possible to date, marry, have children, etc.

Thanks for the clarification ... I did hear that there are new official laws concerning this issue ... hoping theyll decrease the mistakes caused by fatigue to the minimum ...
