Hi bbb, I know you must be very busy these days. Just want to ask this silly question. Is it better to send thank you emails to those who reply promptly or even do reply to the query regarding the application requirements or would I be just filling up their emails with junk.

Most of the information will be available on the respective program's website, or on a pre-recorded message when you call them up...so you won't have to worry much about this

There is no reason to send a "thank you for the information" email when a program sends you their requirements. I don't ever read them. If you are looking at sending one email to lots of programs, then send the email to yourself, and BCC (blind carbon copy) all the programs. That way I don't know who else you are emailing, I will only see my programs email address. It's actually a little early for emails/calls to programs. Let us get the 2007 intern class in the building before we start worrying about the 2008 application process! Good luck.
