Hi,
I am planning to give CS somewhere in end of july though the dates are not yet available but hopefully one or the other would be open till that time...want a serious online partner to discuss and motivate ..
The plan is to do usmleworld and FA...
Week 1 i.e. : 11/6 - 17/6 Make all the notes regarding a basic history and practice it with all the physical exams
Week 2 18/6 -24/6 : atleast 1 case per day with discussion and D/D ( total 7)
Week 3 25/6 - 31/6 : atleast 3 cases per day (total 21 + 7 = 28)
Week 4 1/7 - 7/7 : atleast 5 cases per day (total 35 + 28 = 63)
Week 5 8/7 - 14/7 : atleast 7 cases per day (total 49 + 63 = 112)
so atleast minimum i should be able to complete 112 cases before i appear for the exam...

hmm..no interested members here as yet ..never mind would find someone...
Today didn't study at all...did loads of emailing to programs..so would start from tomorrow

Well I am taking my CS in July as well and your schedule seems similar to mine one...I am in NC....I also just started reading FA yesterday...you can PM me ....anyway..reply and lets see how things should be done.Good luck with your prep.

ok they say plans are made to be changed to suit the need
So now the changed plan...writing a protocol first i found that boring so the new plan is as follows
i would try to manage one case per day as of today and then accordingly prepare the protocol and also discuss the D/D and take up one case atleast and read Step2 ck notes on it (been an yr since i last gave my CK so need to really brush on it too) also try to manage a read from washington manual too and in this way consolidate the information with the history.
Let's see how this works...

ok Day 1 (15/6)
Today's plan is to the do the first case on FA which is about abdominal pain...
Protocol: history of pain protocol gets added today and also protocol of writing a PN on abd exam
D/D..hmm there are few in it starting with PUD...i will try to manage a read from kaplan ck notes and also washington manual umm maybe s3 kaplan notes too saw that there are 2 cases on gastric and duodenal ulcer..would try to complete cholecystitis as well

My exam date is september 4th in Chicago, i am also studying for CK (25% done), we have definetly different schedule but i would like to start with something until august when i will be dedicated 100% . Do you mind to share with me your prep that I believe is a 5 weeks plan. I already have FA and UW. So the today's project regarding CS is to read all my notes about basic history.

sure Ivonne we can discuss it out yes i am still trying to figure out a plan for cs somehow when you don't have the visa in your hand things do go haywire..
i would appreciate all kinds of inputs regarding the best way to study on your own for CS
