I have my test in 5 days and I can't seem to fall asleep until 3am..
disapproval

does anyone have any suggestions on anything over the counter I can take to help me fall asleep sooner so i can get up sooner ??raised eyebrow

try exercising or soothing music or something. but do you really want to knock yourself out hours before your exam? i wouldn't do it.

OTC will give you hangover....so better do pushups 100 times , 3 sets have a giant McDonald at 8 you will fall asleep by 9 and will be up by 5 am....nodgrin

i've been trying to get my sleep regulated before the exam (i'm a night time studier) & exam's in aug...
well, OTC sleep aids work (as in antihistamines) i take 4 altogether, 2 pills 2 hrs b4 i wanna goto sleep & another 2 an hr later....an 1 hr later i'm pooped....but beware!!!!! u end up being too sleepy to wake up, i'm just doin it coz i can waste a couple hrs coz i'm 2 months away frm the exam...if i sleep at 12 midnight, i wake up at 12pm too ; gonna this for a week or so till i feel my circadian rhythm is back on track, maybe another coupla days

another thing i do is exercise later at night, so after that i'm really tired n just wana eat n' goto bed...that way i don't hafta use antihistamines so much

ok i guess i skip the otc meds but damnit my mind wont turn off mad too bad god didn't give us a button....(would probably save a lot of marriages too)wink

Go to amusment park , big, crowded, noisy one, then walk & walk with lighted level few rides do 5 or 4 days b4 then will fall asleep that nighteasily, then just keep that momentum. Do not eat or excercise late, no coffee at all too.

No park to go, just have fast long walk or as OK said long hard excercise in early in early then when tired soothing music to put self to sleep. Be ware , do not get into mscle sore due to over excercise, that is why walking excercise is better if not used to other hard exercise or swimming .

Do breathing , relaxation exercise too.
Good Luck .
After all , nothing work, might want to try low dose, diazepam, but not the night before.

Melatonin capsules might work.
