If u do not take the exam during your extended eligibility period , reapply and take it, will it be counted as a failed attempt? Could u please help me with any info u have on this?

Only if you fail it. If you don't take it, how could that be a fail?

Yes,I think it will be considered a failed attempt..Plz do check the usmle.org ..this is discussed there in detail.Good luck.

My Q. is if u dont take exam in eligibility period, will failure attempt ( did not take exam ) is counted in ur final profile when u apply for residency. ???

they can not say you failed if you did not fail, it would only show up as "no show" which is better then failing! {sometimes there is a legitamite reason for "no show") hope this helps
