Wife with bruises on back is your patient,suspected abuse. Best step of active suggestion is:
a Report as abuse
b tell the wife to report herself
c donot suggest her to report as the abuse would become worse if husband
finds out
d refuse to deal with her
e ask her to come with the hubby later

according to behavioral science ( Barbara Fadem) Direct reporting by physician of domestic partner abuse is NOT appropriate bs the victim is usually a competent adult.
A physician who suspects domestic partner abuse should provide emotional support to the abused partner, refer her to an appropriate shelter or program, and encourage her to report the case to law enforcement officials
