What if there's an emergency aren't we supposed to say plz hang up and call 911? Or do we go ahead with History? And if we do, do we ask Immunization and developmental History too? Birth we might have to!

mytime i guess we need to take complete history as we have to write it in PN .... hmmm if sp insists its an EMERGENCY . ask wats the emergency like ???? and assure him /her some one is already on there way to pick up kid , in meantime is it ok if i ask u question ??? anybody ????????

immunization and dev history is important ..... as they can lead to many clues for diagnosis...

I don't think they would give you a case in which you would have to say hang up and dial 911, because then there is nothing for you to write on your patient note. If the patient is distressed, take a brief history, and insist that he/she come in immediately, no excuses! If they say they have no transportation, say you can provide it. If they say they need to look after their kid, say there is day care here at the hospital... Jut have them come in for a physical -thats the main point they test.
