A 23 yr old woman delivers a dead baby in 29th week of her pregnancy. on examination of the placenta ,it is found to be large, edematous and macerated. What is the disease most likely to have caused this?

Syphilis,because of large plasenta,and 29 gestastional week

i too would go with syphilis as my answer because of the fact that it is a very large placenta

normal placenta weight / fetal weight is 1 / 5

quite the opposite with syphilis
