Today I'm starting my 1st read of Anatomy, after going through the Kaplan Anatomy book I'm ending up in the confusion from not liking the style, the form, and informations in it. Just read chapters 1,2, is the all book written so insufficiently? Does it seem only to me ? Now I have some Qs on my mind. Is it worth to read the Kaplan ? Which book do you recommend? I have pdf version of HY Gross anatomy ( 1997 version ), don't like to read from the screen, but it seems really good. Also have a paperback of BRS Gross Anatomy, 4th Edition. Any kind soul could give me advice on where to study Anatomy from?

the Med School books r best for Anatomy. like Snell's or Kieth L. Moore Clinical Anatomy they work for most then after that ppl have go thru Kaplan which then starts to make sense others have simply printed out the HY Series and stuck to it only.

HY anatomy is good and recommended by high scorers . I also don't like reading from the screen , so I print the books and put them in nice binders .

snell's clinical anatomy is what i used alongside kaplan anatomy.i would suggest that you go through the dvds also.they might not be suggested by the majority but i found them helpful.they especially guide you as to how to use the kaplan book effectively.but neuroanatomy is the best in kaplan.

Thanks for the prompt responses, Will do dvds despite the negative rumors. I did not mentioned above, I have MOORE's Clinical Anatomy, but unconditionally I try to avoid of books larger > 500 pages, once I open them, I enjoy to dwell and there goes my study plan . So it would be mine last choice . I can remember a lot from Anatomy, that is why I feel the Kaplan book was written in rush. Thanks again.

In my opinion the best combination is www.netanatomy.com + kaplan videoes + kaplan notes for areas not yet present on netanatomy
