I love coffee, however, it does not keep me up as much anymore. Try Vitamin B1 or Vitamin B complex for energy. Trust me, it works.

I have been on coffee for years, no problems, not planning on stopping anytime soon, neither! One cup in am, then another late pm is all. I think eating a bit of good dark chocolate keeps up the kick, also. Protein bars are good, too. I like Balance and Luna bars, they are yummy, kind of like a healthy version of Snickers smiling face

Chocolate contains caffeine too......... just like tea, coffee, red bull............. glucose drinks work for me...

I guess take Vit C will help because it boooast our immune system when we are stressed during the preparation..........

hi friends
i was always used to piling things up till the last month and then pushing myself through to complete the studies
i used to have coffee ..
but it gave me chronic hyperacidity and i had to keep stock of gelusil during exams .. it also triggered headache
now i have completely stopped it
my husband finds REd Bull good when he has to drive at night,,, but all these things mAY BACKFIRE WHEN WE NEED 'Em THE MOST -WHEN WE NEED TO BE ALERT AND NOT ARTIFICIALLY KEPT AWAKE ..
so myself , after having experienced those .. have now given up on coffee.. i used to have 8-10 cups a day
now i just have 1 cup of tea in the morning
i wake up on the same time everyday no matter when i sleep
if i feel sleepy i walk while reading or just change place to my window where i get fresh air and lot of natural light
afternoon is the most vulnerable time
i prefer doing sumthing active like read aloud to myself then
listening to audios becomes a little passive and net surfing strains eyes which may make us feel more sleepy
i drink lemon juice if i feel exhausted
and in the morning i go to gym for sum time and take a walk in fresh air
even if i feel too lazy in between i just take a 5 min exercise break .. helps release sum necessary adrenaline i guess smiling face
i ws known as nocturnal and a coffee-person at med school
now i don't need the coffee and my sleep timings are sane

it is not really good

this post of mine is too haphazaard ..sorry for that

HI Guys I'm trying to concentrate on my studies & study for longer peroids but have been unable to achieve my mission so far. May be its b/c of my miserbale married life. Every other day I have issues at home & I'm so much distracted by my problems. I wish I cud go somewhere for a couple of weeks away from home but that's not possible too. I hope & pray God will enable me to concentrate & study for this Exam.

I'm taking lot of coffee too & my Blood pressure sometimes goes upto 160/110. But this is really not helping me out. People talk abt studying for 10-12 hours I think in this situation I can hardly study for 2 or 3 hours with concentration. I'm seriously stressed out. God knows how shall I pass this exam?

Junoon, sorry to hear your story. I can just relieve you a little bit of your worries by saying everyone has his or her life distractions, just like every household has its problems. Communication is the key to solve family problems. You can not just avoid it. Sometime think in your spouse's shoes will help too.

You have to concentrate, maybe just a few hours a day, not like 12 hours in a row. But 2 or 3 hours would not be sufficient, unless you have a prolonged plan.

God will help you. I will pray for you. smiling face

feyza, after readin ure post i couldn't myself frm laughing outloud....i feel so sorry for that guy who slept durin his finals....but i can't help frm finding it funny

yep, junoon, as njcjzy said, talk to your spouse. i am guessing you already did. and some problems are deadends - no way out. but in such cases just accepting will relieve the tension. i found lot of tips in Dale Carnigie's How to Stop Worrying and Start Living. its a great book. find a good friend to talk to. sometimes just talking to someone helps.

Thank You Guys for all your support. Thanks njcjzy & bioguy for your suggestions I will definately try to read the book you told & as you said just accept the situation also relieves a lot of stress, I just started my Blood Pressure medication today & after a long time I 'm feeling so light headed . My doctor told me to make a daily 15 minutes walk as an essential part of my lifelong routine. I believe everyone who's taking the exam can definately spare 15 minutes for a walk. It is a stress reliever & makes you feel good about yourself. I still have about 6 weeks left for the exam I hope I can make it...
