Hello everybody...I'm IMG, who's going to take step1 in september. I started with Kaplan DVD since 6th May (Finished Physio,Anatomy,Biochem,Microbio' and Immuno' for the 1st read). Now I feel a little sick about watching DVD (But that's the way it is,right ?).
However I may have a little problem with Patho' coz I have only goljan audio but not lecture note  Is goljan High-Yield 36 pages enough for USMLE or I need 100/500 pages ???
Alright, I may not be the best student in med school so I need to work hard...nowaday I study about 8 hr. a day. now I think everything is on schedule  but I have something to ask...How long should I do Qs ??? Is two month of doing Qs too much ??? Where can I find a good question beside UW ???

By the way...tomorrow I'm getting started with Pharmaco Hope I can do it without N/V.

Since you have enough time I would recommend the entire 500 pages of goljan.He is totally worth it.The scores shoot up dramatically.
Question shouldn't be how long you need to do questions.Once you consistently start scoring above 70 for Kaplan questions or 65 in USMLE world I think they say you are ready.
You seem to be going strong.So keep at it.Yes lectures become a drag but once you get them out of your way you are ready to rock and roll.Do good luck.

all the best for ur prep EXODUSZ and by the way r u not going to use KLN(kaplan notes) for patho? r they not good enough?

Today I watch Kaplan Pharmaco' DVD for 6-7 hrs.....nahhhhh so dizziness this guy is so fast. luckily that I read FA before (but that's a long time ago.....may be 3 month)
But medocuk you're right if I can finish it, I'm going to rock so I better keep my chin up , thank for advice
Umm....smarty , actually I don't know that KLN is good or not (But Everybody seem to use goljan and ignore KLN so.....I guess I'll try goljan too ) So you plan to use KLN for your prep, right ? may be I'll try to watch patho DVD if there's enough time
However I considered Patho' & BS to be the nightmare for me any advice ?
PS.My friend also want to take the exam too...but he works full-time (5 days a week) he just finished physio' and didn't have a time to watch DVD. I hope he can do it too

Yes you seem to have the focus and the drive, so you will surely succeed!
I would suggest going in for the Rapid Review Goljan

I am also in the first read of Step 1 with the videos and I know what you mean by feeling sick of watching DVDs

Hi medocuk,smarty,afrocaribb & everybody
yesterday I didn't read much because my friend's going to give birth to her child. So we went to see her & her baby after that we're going to party coz' it's a long time that we don't meet each other.......So I didn't read anything at all, except doing a few question....I'm going to watch DVD seriously tomorrow
oh and thank acintya again. I finally get goljan note & slide.....by the way I curious about how to use them  umm.......I mean how to match the slide with lecture (there're many folder so I get a little confuse)

Get Rapid Review patho by Dr. Goljan as Ac said, has all notes, color picture by side of notes, go with audio , his on line LN & this text, cause, some odd audio, do not follow or jump in the text . But slide will be there & cool, so far I do not even bother open the online slide & note [ but have to in some may be one or 2 only] we got , just stick with his text & color picture in there.
As AFC said, worthed to stick around with Papi[ Dr. G. ] all the time.
Thank god, we have turn of the break day , me yesterday, Mdu today, so at least someone will post , so we will still on track, not lost ,still get motivation in the study.
Re path, BS ... do kap 1st with dvd if night mare for you, cause Dr. G tell correlation if you already know anatomy, physio, biochem, basic general & systemic patho , pharm well , then Papi[ Dr. G] will make sense to you especially if you're already done your basic med in med school, not so recently.
Biochem... if Dr. L. Raymond, be patient , you'll get use to his tone, voice then , he is the best after that. But have Beh Sc in between instead of bioch 6 hr straight . I used to not enjoy, not like him at my 1st read with him, then ,now he is the best, my most favorite, like Dr. G.
Your friend FT, will do fine, for 1st read, tell do not stop read do dvd study with FT job .
I did in FT 12 hr job in my 1st read. I study even more than now, but not post , surf any where, so no info, help , suppot or Dr. G's stuff at all , just me & me myself alone with work, study with kap.
So for your friend now FT with study but sooner or later , god will find way to help him/her or he/she has to do study more than work though we all need to work for financial reason.But if we need to study, we will find the best way to study.
