Hi to all:
I have a quick question:
Does taking step 3 before submitting application help in getting residency? And by that I mean that does it support low scorers (in step 1/2) to get more interviews.
I know about the visa issues so please tell me if it helps in getting more and more interviews if the score of step 3 is above 85?

can anyone please answer. I know this question has been asked so many times but the answer was never clear to me, people talked much about H1 visa but never about getting more interviews and little bit more security for low scorers!

hey buddy
its like asking , is 99 a good score
yes ofcourse if it is doable
having a step three score in hand
makes your chances of getting a call manyfold
and above 85 will be "icing" on the cake
dont think too much
just jump over it and take step 3 at earliest possible
i do not have my cr result as yet
so i am not eligible
but i want to take step 3 as soonas possible
by september i guess

Thanks puchpal! Actually I really have enough issues and its really big deal for me to go for step 3 and I want to make sure if its really important so I can do it.......
most of the people even on this forum said that it does not help in GETTING INTERVIEWS, it only helps in VISA ISSUES......that's why I asked many times............how does it decrease you chances if you fail??????????hahahhah another question, can you answer please?

Hi I am also taking step 3 early, though I feel it cant cover the step 1 an dstep 2 scores.As the program cordinators are directed to sort out apllication on step 1 an dstep 2 score,and once they sort out the application ,then they go in detail about ur step 3 .Thats what a program director told me.But yeah once application is selected then its helpful.when is ur step 3.

It is good to have your step 3 score before Sept 1st. It will help you to get more intreviews.
