And Im too late for 2008?
what is the latest?
I need a crash course on this match stuff

ok, i will give you what little i know...
ERAS open july 1st - means you can start uploading files and putting together your application on this date... start working on gathering LORs and your Deans' letter now...
Applications start downloading on Sept 1st - programs start downloading applications for review... so at this time your application should be ready! Whether you completed one exam or completed all three exams get your application out on this day... Most programs only have a set number of interviews they give out during match season - if they give out all their interviews before you apply then you lost out on a program that may have been perfect for you...
Being ECFMG certified on Sept 1 is the most ideal situation - having all exams completed will reflect better to programs and increases your chance of getting interviews... however if all you have is step 1, apply! Many programs will still invite you for an interview without all scores, especially if the score you have is high! remember AMGs apply with only step 1 scores!
