Hi,
I am an overseas medical doctor of Indian citizenship. I don't have US citizenship/ green card.
I wanted to start RESEARCH on a J1 visa for 1 year, I wanted to know if after one year, I can continue this J1 for Residency. What do I need to do to shift from J1 research to J1 clinical( for residency). I currently don't have a residency offer but will apply this year in Sept and hopefully will get one.
DO I have to ask my country(INDIA) to give me a waiver for J1 research so I can do my residency on J1 clinical.
Please solve this, I would be really thankful to you.
