Good Girl said: I converted mine into the AAC format, it takes time. First you need to get the lecture into the iPod library, once is there, you will do a right click on the selected lecture and chose the option '' convert selection into AAC'' . You need to wait ! It takes like 20 - 30 min to convert one lecture. You will see in the upper screen in small leters '' the file is converting'' ( somithing like that) and the small bar with the progress. Once it's converted, you just connect the iPod and the rest you know. Hope you will succed it. Superb!!!! Thanks it works

Hi Yoga, I looked at Goljan audio lectures, and for example No 1 Cell injury is like only 8.4 MG big, and rest are about the same size. So, are you talking about Goljan audio od Kaplan video lectures, bc the size of one video lectures is about 500 MB. And of course it will take a lot of memory. Better is to put Kaplan audio into any mp3 player. You have 982 MB( almost 1 GB ) so you should be fine with audio,I got on my iPod Kaplan audio, Goljan, some medical podcast, and total it makes like 3 GB. So tell me, is it Gojan or Kaplan you talking about , which has 500 MB ?

I see, but whole Goljan audio package has 321 MB. Not sure where lies your problem, don't know anything about installing audio to the cell phone, hopefully someone would shed some light into it. Take care, Yoga.

yoga, i faced the same problem, used "audacity" software to convert goljan audio files and each file originally was ~5MB is now 500MB and even 1.5GB dont' understand what the heck is going on. had a 30GB player before, so no problem. now bought a 2 GB small one for easy carrying, so have to convert files again into small ones. any suggestions, anyone? does that ACC format work in any MP3 player?

guys, i transferred the lectures in to my not-ipod mp3 player, in simple copy-paste method. took me about 2 secs to do the whole thing. never had to mess with the changing format stuff. maybe you should try getting a non-ipod mp3 player, provided finances allow. they are waaaaay cheaper too. you can sure get rid of this technical puzzle. p.s. the size of files is MB [not mg, we're not writing prescriptions here!! ]

sorry, my friend, now that is above my head. if you can burn it on to a regular cd, you can hear it on a regular discman. involves a bit more work, slightly more bulky to carry around. but, who cares, if you can listen to the lectures? g'luck!

killed the beast!!!! oh, not the test, i mean this MP3 player problem. i tried out several freewares available on the net and finally found one that could convert the files (that were already MP3 but corrupted maybe) to a proper MP3 format and the size predictably increased from ~5MB to ~35MB. anyways i was able to fit them into my small player. some softwares did convert but lost the stereo effect, the sound came from only one earphone. the one that worked for me was "AV MP3 player-morpher". so after all this i am worried if these freewares came with piggybacking viruses , clean so far!!!

OMG! Guys I just realized, whoever made the original audios is a genius. usually a 5 min song in MP3 format is ~5MB (128kbps). But these lectures each are 1hr (96kbps), obviously they will be large!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but the original ones are just ~5MB. thats genius!!!
