What is meant by integrated programs... tried to google it but got a bunch of integrated program pages, but no definition... tried to search here but found nothing... Please enlighten me...

precisely right! an integrated residency is one which combines two programs and thus reaching the requirements for both specialty boards...at the end you would have the option of writing one or both of the board exams of those subspecialties...eg. Med-Peads, Med-Psych, Med-Emerg

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble here...but integrated and combined are completely different! -Combined is like IM-Peds...IM-Emerg, and so on. -Intergrated applies to specialties that require a prelim year. (Like when you apply for Plastic Surgery, and instead of having to do your first 3 years of Gen Surgery elsewhere, the program has Gen Surgery spots reserved for you. They therefore call their Plastic program an intergrated program, because it's integrated with their Gen Surgery program)
