Hello everyone! If one gets a telephone encounter during the exam, does anyone know if one has to write a patient note? Obviously, there is no physical exam to write about, but one has to come up with a differential diagnosis and the proper work-up. If anyone here knows either from personal experience or heard about it from a friend, I would greatly appreciate any information about it. Also, I have another question. I know this varies a lot, because it is very personal, but I would also like to know what do most people recommend, either typing or writing the patient note. I really feel more comfortable writing it, but would like to know if anyone here thinks if there is an advantage of one over the other? Any suggestions are also very welcome.

Thank you PGI2alpha for your response. I think I will stick to writing the patient note, and I hope that works for me during the exam. One question, have you already taken the exam?
