i dont believe this!! i did it, i did it , i did it!!!!! oh my God, i am so excited. i have just opened the envelop and its 96....

i was so depressed and discouraged when i first started reading posts here. they just boosted me up after a while. i kept reading them for inspiration and here i am..a proud forum member with 96....

perl20 - congrats. I am just curious to know about your oasis update or exam date?,. I took my exam on May 10th, and oasis updated on May 30th. So far i havent received the score report. Please let me know

my exam date was 10th may and score reported on 30th may..dont worry us2008, it should arrive to u very soon.
the books i used were
patho - BRS , anatomy - roadmap, physiology- kaplan, microbiology- levinson(lange), pharmac- katzung(lange), biochem- (lippincott), mol. bio- high yield, embryo- high yield, neuroanatomy- high yield, biostat- high yield, genetics- kaplan, beh.sci- BRS
i personally didnt like kaplan as i could not digest the style of notes. i know its kind of strange, but thats the way it worked for me.
i did kapan qbank - 72% avg
uw- with 60-70%
nbme form 1 - 450 (before 4 weeks)
nbme form 2- 540(before 2 weeks)
i know many ppl get 99 in this exam but not all, and i dont want to devaluate my work and achievement looking at others success. i had also aimed for 99 and thats a fact, but so what? i am happy with 96. i believe i should aim and work for the best and then God will decide the perfect thing for me, so it should be the best score for me.

Dear Pearl20: Do you recommend high yeild molecular biology? I am not comfortable with Kaplan style also. Do you think high yeild molecular biology is sufficient for exam?

thanks all.
my total prep time was in break. but last 4 months were actual prep.
i had taken nbme form 1 and 2 only. actual exam was a bit tougher than form 2 i guess. becuase it had more calculations and mri/ct s which were not covered properly anywhere, not even in nbme i saw many cts......but for question style, form 2 was closer.

and yes, mol biology,i had done high yield . also lippincott biochem book has few chapters, but those r damn good for explanations. go through it. and for everything else, question banks and common sense will help.
i had a question in exam which was seemingly tough , but when i thought over it calmly, i got the clue from the question itself. i dont remember the question exactly, but this was my experience

and yes feyza i'm the same pearl. but unfortunately my pregnancy didnt survived . i missed it after 1 month and a week or so... but as i said i am optimist. everything will turn out well as per God wish...i have supportive husband and somehow i gained the strength to let it not affect my study and goal. i will give u all good news soon......
