52 yo man is found to have hypertension.systolic bruit is heard over left renal artery.Angiography shows 96% occlusion of left renal artery,right renal artery is normal.which of the following describes the most likely response of treatment
a.decreased renin ,dec angiotensin 1 after administration of loop diuretic
b.dec renin following administation of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor.
c.inc renin and dec angiotensin 1 after loop diuretic
d.inc renin after ACEI

I THINK IT MAY BE (B) dec renin following administation of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor

can't be because ACE inhibitor results in increase renin....and ace in hibitors are not suitable in this instance as they would badly affect the renal hemodynamics in the stenosed kidney...

I do agree with ssrpk
ACE inhibitors block enzyme, so everything upstream will be increase. renin is incr., angiotensin 1 incr., angiotensin2 decr. aldosteron decr., bradykinin incr.
