Hello Everybody,

I would like to know what is the best source(s) needed to study for this exam. Is a particular book the best and/or a website or is a course like kaplan the best thing to do? I've heard that UW website video quality is very poor. Any truth to that? I'd appreciate a reply as soon as possible. Also can someone tell me how much time I need to study for this exam? Thank You.

Thank You for your reply, PGI2alpha. Have you heard of usmlesource by any chance? Is it supposed to be better than uw? How about the kaplan course? Is it any good?

i also had questions about USLMEsource when i preped for this exam... never recieved any answers so i can only assume many people don't use it...
I agree with PGI2 - the best sources are by far FA and UW... the video quality of Uw is great... no problems with it...nod

Thanks for your reply, CocaCola. Do you still need a study partner for the cs or is it possible to use fa and uw by yourself? Also if I were to use fa alone and not uw, would that be enough? Anyone feel free to give a reply. Thanks in advance.

my opinion - doing FA by yourself is good... FA is especially good for the practicing patient notes...
I thought UW was hard to do by myself - had a family member do a couple of cases with me but didnt get through much (only five cases)... i found UW CS videos pretty good...

Thank you for your input. If I were to do fa only and not do uw is that enough or is it necessary to combine my studies with fa and uw?

i think FA is enough for the exam... if you could find someone with the UW CS videos - take a look at them... the videos are helpful for draping and tailoring your PE to only what you need for the exam...
