the virus infects B lymphocytes by attaching to CD 21 receptor but the cells that will predominate will be reactive T cells which would be CD8+ lymphocytes

yep they( atypical cells) are T cells reacting against infected B cells :oops:

is it true the cd8 will be predominate in IM???I'm quite sure its B cells.
